Day 1 – Kuala Lumpur – Los Angeles – Anaheim: Meet & greet at Los Angeles International Airport, transfer to hotel in Anaheim for overnight.

Day 2 – Anaheim – Disneyland (B): Wake up to a fun-filled day as we take the hotel shuttle service to the wonderful world of Disneyland Anaheim (the original and still the best). You will be given a one day passport, explore the many attractions and fun rides available here at Fantasyland, Adventure land, Frontier land, Tomorrow Land and Mickey Toon Town. Keep a look out for your favorite Disney Cartoon characters. Overnight in Anaheim.

Day 3 – Anaheim – Hollywood Tour – Universal Studios (B D): The Hollywood tour includes a stopover at the Dolby Theater (formerly the Kodak Theater and venue for the Academy Awards), Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Continue with another fun-filled day of action-packed entertainment all in one place: Universal Studios Hollywood, the world largest movie and television studios covering 170 hectares of San Fernando Valley in Universal City. With thrilling theme park rides and shows, a real working movie studio and Los Angeles’ best shops, restaurants and cinemas, Universal Studios Hollywood is a unique experience that’s fun for the whole family. After dinner, transfer back to hotel in Anaheim.

Day 4 – Anaheim – Barstow – Las Vegas (B D): An exciting day awaits you as we start our journey through the Mojave Desert to Nevada and the world famous entertainment city of Las Vegas. Stop over at Barstow City for lunch, then continue to the entertainment capital of the world for a drive-through of the famous Las Vegas Strip. View the Sirens show at Treasure Island, the erupting volcano at The Mirage, the famous dancing fountains at Bellagio, the iconic neon “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign and the incredible Fremont Street Experience light show. You will also see the City Center, the Manhattan skyline at New York and the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas. Dinner & overnight in Las Vegas.

Day 5 – Las Vegas Free & Easy (B): Spend an exciting day discovering the world’s most exciting city, and maybe try your luck in the casinos. Overnight in Las Vegas.

Day 5 – Grand Canyon (West Rim) (B L): This morning, travel to one of the seven natural wonders of the world – The Grand Canyon West Rim. Cut by the Colorado River, it stretches an incredible 322 km across the desert highlands of northern Arizona. Drive through a 900 year old Joshua tree forest on the way to the lands of the Hualapai Indian Nation and the Grand Canyon. You may make an optional visit to “Skywalk” at Eagle point. Suspended 4,000 feet above the Colorado River, you can step on to the glass floor for a 360 degree view of the Canyon. Other options (at your own expense) include a helicopter ride for a bird’s eye view of the Canyon and a boat ride through the Canyon along the Colorado River. Overnight in Las Vegas.

Day 6 – Las Vegas – Fresno (B D): Today, cross the Mojave Desert, then experience a dramatic change of scenery as you pass through the San Joaquin Valley and some of California’s richest farming country en route to Fresno, known as the “Raisin Capital of the World” for all the vineyards that surround the city. Dinner & overnight in Fresno

Day 7 – Fresno – Monterey Bay – San Francisco (B D): Drive through the dramatic Pacheco Pass and then south along the spectacular coastline to Monterey Bay, enjoying ravishing views of Bird Rock, the Lone Cypress and Pebble Beach. Continue to San Francisco, “the city by the bay” and one of the most fascinating cities in the entire United States. Dinner & overnight in SanFrancisco.

Day 8 – San Francisco City Tour – Flight Departure (B D): Start off the morning with a city tour of San Francisco which includes the Twin Peaks, the Civic Centre, Lombard Street and the Palace of Fine Arts. See the dramatic views of the famous Golden Gate Bridge. Stop at the colorful Fisherman’s Wharf, and spend the day taking in the bustling activity on Union Square. Options include the famous San Francisco Cable Car and Bay Cruise. After dinner, transfer to airport for your flight home.

Day 9 – San Francisco – Kuala Lumpur: Don’t worry, the flight doesn’t take two whole days, but If you cross the International Date Line moving east, you subtract a day, whereas if you are moving west you add a day. Here’s how it works.

Day 1 – Kuala Lumpur – Vancouver: Arrive in Vancouver, the largest metropolitan center in western Canada and the country’s third largest city. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2 – Vancouver – Seattle – Star Princess Cruise (B L D): After breakfast, transfer to Seattle, a young city with a rich history. In the afternoon, board the Star Princess Cruise Liner to the sound of a brass band playing welcoming music. After settling into your cabin, you will be taken for a conducted tour to see all the facilities on board this Palace of the Sea: High Class Restaurants, Theaters, Casino, Shopping Arcade, Beauty Salon, Swimming Pools & Sauna, etc. Enjoy the excellent food on board and do not miss the show (free admission) at night.

Day 3 – At Sea (B L D): Spend the day cruising north along the Canadian coast to Alaska and keeping a lookout for whales and orcas.

Day 4 – Juneau (B L D): Alaska’s capital city gracefully balances frontier ruggedness and cosmopolitan flair. Mendenhall Glacier, a river of ice measuring 2.5 km in width and over 10 km in length, hugs Juneau’s north side and is part of the Juneau Ice field, an almost 4,000 sq km ice field that feeds 38 large glaciers. There is no end of adventure in Juneau; you can climb aboard the Mt. Roberts Tramway (optional), take a helicopter ride (optional) or hunt for souvenirs in town. Suntravel guests also enjoy a free Whale Watching excursion to view the humpback whales in Alaska’s Inside Passage.

Day 5 – Skagway (B L D): Gold was discovered in Klondike in 1896. The Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park boasts restored buildings, wooden boardwalks and the famed White Pass & Yukon Railroad. Browse the rustic shops along Broadway Street, relax at the Red Onion Saloon, and investigate the Trail of ’98 Museum. Suntravel guests also enjoy a free excursion to the White Pass Scenic Railroad, possibly the most beautiful rail journey in the world

Day 6 – Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska (B L D): Glacier Bay is an irresistible cruise attraction. Here the glories of monumental glaciers are close at hand. They thrill the spectator with thundering cataclysms as towering pinnacles of electric-blue ice tumble into the sea. Enter into this pristine Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site to discover primeval nature, perfect and untamed.

Day 7 – Ketchikan (B L D): Known as the “Salmon Capital of the world”, Ketchikan, on the shores of the Tongass Narrows, is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world’s largest collection of totem poles. Besides the main attractions of Creek Street, the Totem Heritage Center, the Tongass Historical Museum, Totem Bight State Park and Sax man Village, Ketchikan is home to beautiful Misty Fjords National Monument. Suntravel guests also enjoy a free excursion to the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show.

Day 8 – Victoria (B L D): Founded in 1843 by James Douglas of the Hudson’s Bay Company, the city was first known as Fort Victoria. By 1848, Vancouver Island was a British colony and Victoria was its capital. In 1858, Victoria was a tent city and the base for some 25,000 prospectors on their way to the Frasier River gold fields. When Vancouver Island was incorporated with mainland British Columbia in 1868, Victoria became the capital of the entire province. Although it’s a port city, Victoria is not as industrially oriented as Vancouver and exudes old-world charm. The harbors, especially Inner Harbour, are dotted with pleasure craft, ferries and floatplanes. The city is renowned for its beautiful gardens, charming houses and very British feel.

Day 9 – Seattle – Vancouver – Transfer Out (B L D): Disembark in Seattle. Transfer to Vancouver for city tour. Vancouver is the Canadian Jewel of Puget Sound. From the cobblestone streets of Gas Town to Little Italy and Chinatown, Vancouver offers a truly international flavor as well as a delightful combination of the old and the new. The city tour will cover all major attractions including the largest Urban Park in North America – Stanley Park – with an area of 1,000 acres. After a farewell dinner, transfer to airport for your flight to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 10 – Vancouver – Kuala Lumpur

Day 11 – Arrive in Kuala Lumpur

Brazil, Argentina & Peru - 13D 16N Spirit of South America

Day 1 – Kuala Lumpur – Rio De Janeiro

Day 2 – Arrive In Rio De Janeiro (D): Welcome to South America’s largest and most populous country. Check into hotel, then meet your Tour Director and travelling companions for a drive along the famous Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches. Enjoy a special cocktail party on the beach, toasting the start of a memorable holiday with caipirinhas, a favourite Brazilian cocktail. Next, make your way to the base of the 1,300-foot-high Sugar Loaf Mountain and ascend by cable car to its summit, where you can enjoy spectacular vistas of the city. Complete the day with a welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 3 – Rio De Janeiro (B D): The city’s most famous landmark, the statue of Christ the Redeemer, crowns Corcovado Mountain, a rounded peak rising 2,300 feet  from the bay below. A scenic ride by cog railway leads to the top, where a breathtaking 360-degree panorama affords sweeping views. From here, proceed to bustling downtown Rio, where modern office towers stand next to relics of the Portuguese colonial past. View the Sambodromo and visit the Cathedral. The afternoon is at leisure for you to experience this vibrant city on your own. Tonight, it’s a fun outing to a churrascaria for a feast of barbecued meats marinated and roasted over charcoal in true Brazilian style, followed by a samba show, where the sheer vitality of this country explodes in a colourful extravaganza.

Day 4 – Rio De Janeiro (B): A full day at leisure to explore Rio. Relax on one of the world-famous beaches or take advantage of the world-class shopping or fine dining. Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional Guanabara Bay cruise that delivers gorgeous views of Rio from the harbour. In the afternoon, sightseers might elect to discover historic Petropolis, a mountain resort and the former summer palace of Emperor Dom Pedro II.

Day 5 – Rio De Janeiro – Buenos Aires (B): Fly to Buenos Aires, proud capital of Argentina, the vast country that occupies most of the southern part of the continent. After arriving at your central hotel, an orientation walk acquaints you with the “Paris of South America” and its wide boulevards and outdoor cafes. Spend an evening at leisure.

Day 6 – Buenos Aires (B D): Your tour this morning starts in La Boca, a colourful district and site of the city’s first port. Take a short walking tour of this unique neighbourhood at the mouth of the river and then on to San Telmo, famous for its late-colonial buildings and a popular gathering spot for artists. At the Plaza de Mayo, see La Casa Rosada (the President’s Pink House) and the Metropolitan Cathedral, which houses San Martin’s Mausoleum. Drive past the ornate Colon Opera House before reaching the Cemetery Of The Recoleta, burial site of Eva Peron. After an afternoon at leisure, savour the atmosphere of this cosmopolitan capital at a dinner featuring Argentine steaks and other local specialties. Top off the evening at the famous Esquina Carlos Gardel to enjoy flawless performances of Latin America’s most sensuous dance – the Tango.

Day 7 – Buenos Aires (B L): Enjoy a full day at leisure, with an optional excursion to the Pampas, the rich grasslands that are home to Argentina’s Gaucho cowboys. Experience the atmosphere of Argentine country life as you visit an estancia (ranch). Get acquainted with the lifestyle of the gauchos and enjoy a barbecue lunch and the warm hospitality of your hosts before returning to the city.

Day 8 – Buenos Aires – Iguassu Falls (B D): This morning, fly to Iguassu Falls. The spectacle of this 3.2 kilometre wide torrential downpour – with some cataracts as high as 76 metres  – is nothing short of hypnotic. The clouds of spray, the incessant roar, and the surrounding luxuriant tropical growth make this an unforgettable natural wonder. Upon arrival, journey to the Argentinean side of the falls and take the Ecological Jungle Train for a bird’s-eye view from the catwalks perched over part of the Devil’s Throat, where 14 falls drop over 90 metres  into the Devil’s Gorge below. Continue to your hotel for dinner.

Day 9 – Iguassu Falls – Lima (B): Today is dedicated to exploring the Brazilian side of the Iguassi Falls from a completely different vantage point. A walk along the pathway at the base of the falls takes you into the Devil’s Throat Canyon, with spectacular panoramic views of many of the 275 cataracts that make up Falls. Later today, fly to Lima, Peru.

Day 10 – Lima (B): Your city sightseeing tour focuses on Lima’s rich colonial history as well as the modern city. See the 18th-century San Francisco Monastery with its unique cloisters, the Government Palace, and the Cathedral adjacent to the vast Plaza de Armas. Then, take a short drive to the seaside suburb of Miraflores.

Day 11 – Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley (B D): Fly to Cusco, the impressive Andean city that was once the capital of the Inca Empire. Spend the day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas with a visit to the semi-circular Kenko Amphitheatre with its stone altars and labyrinth of passages. Stop at the ancient site of Puca Pucara before reaching the Temple of Sacsayhua Man, perched on a hillside overlooking Cusco. Researchers still have no idea when this fortress of gigantic stones – with some blocks weighing more than 350 tons – was built. Continue to Pisac, an old mountain village where you will have free time to shop for local wares such as alpaca sweaters and blankets, jewellery, or hand-painted ornamental dishes and vases. Stay in the Sacred Valley tonight, with dinner at the hotel.

Day 12 – Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu (B L D): This morning, visit the Inca Fortress of Ollantay Tambo, followed by the opportunity to visit a home, meet some of the locals, and experience their way of life. Then, board a train for a scenic journey through the lush Urubamba Valley. Upon arrival, ascend the mountainside to legendary Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas”. Your Local Guide will introduce this intact fortress with its temple remains, holy houses, and mile-long aqueduct, and will bring you closer to the mysteries still hidden in these amazing structures.

Day 13 – Machu Picchu – Cusco (B): A morning at leisure allows you to wake up early to see the sunrise over Machu Picchu and make a second visit to the ruins. Return to Cusco and learn more about the Incas on your guided tour, with visits to the imposing Cathedral and the Santo Domingo Monastery.

Day 14 – Cusco – Lima (B D): A short morning flight returns you to Lima, where the remainder of the day is at leisure to explore on your own. This evening, your Tour Director hosts a farewell dinner to celebrate the success of this exciting Latin American journey.

Day 15 – Lima – Transfer Out (B): After breakfast, free at leisure until transfer to airport for flight home.

Day 16 – Arrive Kuala Lumpur

    • Airport tax is subject to change without prior notice. Any increase in airport tax will be passed on to the client at cost.

    • A service charge will be imposed for any amendments to the name, alterations to the routes or change of dates on the issued air tickets or for reissue of air tickets.

    • Replacement of passengers is subject to airlines’ seat availability and a handling fee will be imposed for each replacement passenger.

    • Flight deviations are subject to airline conditions, ticket validity and seat availability. A handling fee will be imposed, which varies according to airline.

    • Cancellation fees will be imposed accordingly when tour members wish to cancel their tour (see Small Print). However, SUNTRAVEL reserves the right to cancel or withdraw at any time bookings made due to insufficient group size, in which case any monies paid toward booking fees shall be refunded in full.
