Day 1 – Arrive Cairo (D): Upon arrival, spend the afternoon and early evening exploring the Cairo Pyramids.

Day 2 – Cairo – Luxor – Embark Nile Cruise (B L D): Fly to Luxor, embark on your luxury Nile Cruise and enjoy the sights of the Nile Valley as you drift slowly by.

Day 7 – Cairo – Alexandria – Cairo (B L D): Proceed to Alexandria for a city tour covering Pompey’s Pillar, Catacombs of Komash-Shouqafa, Montazah Palace and Fort Qaitbey.

Day 8 – Depart Cario (B L): Morning free at leisure. After lunch, transfer to airport for departure flight.

7 Day 4 Night Itinerary

Day 1 – Kuala Lumpur – Nairobi

Day 2 – Arrive Nairobi – Aberdare National Park (B L D): Met on arrival Nairobi and transferred to the Somak Safari Lounge to freshen-up and served with light breakfast. Later, drive north through the rich farming areas arriving at the Aberdare Country Club for a sumptuous lunch. The Aberdare’s forest is rich in wildlife; elephants, black rhinos, warthog, bush pig, giant forest hog, waterbuck, leopard, rare bongo, reptiles and insects. After lunch, transfer to The Ark Lodge – Tree House Lodge. Bring overnight bags; your main luggage is stored at the Aberdare for collection the following day. Here you will enjoy excellent views of animals visiting the waterhole from the observation deck of the lodge.

Day 3 – Aberdare National Park – Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Naivasha National Park (B L D): After breakfast, collect left luggage and drive into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, with 56 different species of mammals including white rhino and buffaloes and nearly 450 species of birds. The lake hosts thousands of flamingoes, which create a breathtaking shimmering pink hue over the lake. In the afternoon, enjoy a game-drive in the park, sanctuary to the endangered black & white rhinos. Depart for Lake Naivasha National Park, 1880 metres above sea level. Enjoy a scenic boat ride to see large pods of hippos lying half submerged in the water. Colobus monkeys are often seen in the canopy of the Acacia forests around the lake. From the boat, you can see cormorants, wild geese, pelicans, waterbucks and eagles. It is lovely to watch as the eagles fly overhead to grab the fish that you throw in the air. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club.

Day 4 – Lake Naivasha National Park – Masai Mara (B L D): After an early breakfast, drive into the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve and enjoy a late afternoon game-drive in one of the world’s finest game reserves. Spotting lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators are some of the highlights of your day. Around July, the great migration takes place from the north of Serengeti plains and return to the south around Oct. The plains are full of wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe and Thomson’s gazelle. Also regularly seen are leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance. Before dinner, thrill to the romance of a bush Sundown Cocktail Party set high upon the Mara Escarpment. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 5 – Maasai Mara (B L D): This morning, proceed on an early game viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes.  A visit to a Maasai village is an interesting experience. As you arrive at the village, excited children and adults welcome you with song and dance. You will then be welcomed into one of the homesteads in the village. The village huts (called Manyatta) are made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames. Here you will get an opportunity to buy hand-made souvenirs to take back home. Optional activity: Balloon Safari over the Mara plains. Estimated cost: USD 450 per person including certificate.

Day 6 – Maasai Mara – Naroibi (B L D): After breakfast drive 300 km to Nairobi and transfer to the Intercontinental Hotel for lunch. Tonight we will enjoy a farewell dinner in the famous Carnivore restaurant. Every type of meat imaginable, including zebra, crocodile, ostrich, giraffe, wildebeest, beef, lamb, chicken, sausages, etc., is skewered on traditional Maasai swords over a huge, visually spectacular charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant. After dinner, transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Day 7 – Arrive Kuala Lumpur

Day 6 – Maasai Mara – Naroibi (B L D): After breakfast drive 300 km to Nairobi and transfer to the Intercontinental Hotel for lunch. Tonight we will enjoy a farewell dinner in the famous Carnivore restaurant. Every type of meat imaginable, including zebra, crocodile, ostrich, giraffe, wildebeest, beef, lamb, chicken, sausages, etc., is skewered on traditional Maasai swords over a huge, visually spectacular charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant. After dinner, transfer to the airport for your flight home. Overnight at Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi.

Day 7 – Naroibi – Kuala Lumpur (B L): The Nairobi sightseeing tour includes a visit to the colourful City Market, Parliament Buildings, Kenyatta International Conference Centre and the Snake Park, finishing with a visit to the National Museum, a major international centre of human and pre-human history. The displays include prehistoric artifacts, over 900 stuffed birds and animals, fossils from Lake Turkana, ethnic displays from various Kenyan tribal groups as well as local artistic exhibits. One of the main attractions is the People of Kenya tribal portraits by Joy Adamson, author of Born Free, and her delicate watercolours of Kenyan flowers and plants. After lunch, is time to bid farewell to this wonderful country depart to the airport for your flight home.

Day 8 – Arrive Kuala Lumpur

South Africa - 9D 7N Best of South Africa - Johannesburg, Sun City & Cape Town

Day 1 – Depart For Johannesburg

Day 2 – Arrival Johannesburg – Sun City (L): Upon arrival, proceed for an orientation tour of Johannesburg and Pretoria, the “Jacaranda City “ and view the impressive Union Buildings, South Africa’s finest architectural masterpiece. Proceed to Sun City with an enormous range of things to do both in and outdoors; scintillating entertainment, a wonderful selection of shops and boutiques and lots of extravagant theme rides. Explore Sun City and Lost City and discover many myths and legends from Africa’s distant past. Entrance is included to the  Valley of Waves, one of the most advanced water-parks in the world.

Day 3 – Johannesburg (B L D): Visit Gold Reef City, an old gold mining town, and learn how gold was extracted in the past. Witness molten gold poured and watch an exciting display of tribal dancing. Shop at Sandton mall and enjoy the famous Carnivore wild game dinner where joints of meat skewered on large Maasai swords are grilled to perfection.

Day 4 – Sun City – Johannesburg (B L D): Enjoy the African Dawn Safari at Pilanesberg National Park by four-wheel-drive. There is a good possibility of sighting all of the Big Five – lion, rhino, elephant, leopard and buffalo. After a late breakfast in the hotel, Visit Sundown Lion Park which currently has 42 lions, including 13 lions under the age of 18 months. You will be able to handle the small lion cubs and have your photo taken with them. Continue with an educational tour to a diamond factory.

Day 5 – Johannesburg – Cape Town (B L D): After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Cape Town. Enjoy a Cape Town city tour which includes a drive past the Town’s City Hall and the Malay Quarter. Travel up to the famous Table Mountain via cable car (subject to weather conditions). Go up the summit in less than 10 minutes as the cable car’s rotating floor ensures everyone gets a 360 degree aerial view of the city.

Day 6 – Cape Town (B L D): Full day tour of Cape Peninsula. Cruise to Seal Island (subject to weather conditions) to enjoy viewing seals and sea birds at Duiker Island, followed by wine tasting at Groot Constantia Winery. Visit a Penguin Colony at Boulder’s Beach between Simon’s Town and Cape Point. Boulders has become world famous for its thriving colony of African Penguins and resplendent wind sheltered, safe beaches. Tour the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where indigenous fauna and flora are conserved in this priceless wilderness area. The scenery en route to Cape Point, at the South Western tip of the reserve, is particularly lovely in spring when wildflowers carpet the landscape.

Day 7 – Cape Town (B): Free at own leisure to explore South Africa’s most cosmopolitan city.

Day 8 – Cape Town – Kuala Lumpur (B): After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight home.

Turkey - 10D 7N Marvelous Turkey - Istanbul, Ephesus, Cappadocia & Ankara

Day 1 – Depart For Istanbul

Day 2 – Istanbul – Canakkale (L D): After meeting and greeting at theairport, take an Old City tour of Istanbul which includes the Blue Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Istanbul built to compete with St. Sophia, one of Istanbul’s earliest churches. Visit the Hippodrome, the centre of Byzantine civic life, and the famous Topkapi Palace, former imperial residence of the great Ottoman Sultans and their harems from the 15 – 19th Centuries. Depart for Canakkale for overnight.

Day 3  Canakkale – Pergamon – Kusadasi (B L D): Guided tour of Canakkale, which includes the site of the legendary city of Troy and the replica Wooden Horse used in the film of the same name. Continue to Pergamon, an ancient Greek city close to the Aegean Sea, to visit the Acropolis. Take a cable car up the steep hill to view the ALtar of Zeus, Temple of Athena and Temple of Trajan, as well as the library and amphitheatre. Proceed to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Kusadasi – Ephesus – Pamukkale (B L D): Orientation tour of Kusadasi to see the Odeon Bouleterion, foundations, temples, brothels, libraries, theaters, Temple of Diana, and the House of “Virgin Mary”, followed by a leather outlet center. Then proceed to visit the highlight of this region; Ephesus, the best preserved of the world’s ancient classical ruins, and the most visited historical site since the time of St. Paul. Depart for Pamukkale for overnight.

Day 5 – Pamukkale – Konya – Cappadacio (B L D): Visit the ancient city of Heirapolis, a remarkable thermal spa resort that is now a UNESCO World heritage Site, followed by the 13th Century Sultanhani Caravanserai, a wonderful medieval traveller’s inn. Continue to Cappadacio for overnight.

Day 6 – Cappadocia (B L D): Visit the underground city of Kaymakli, where early Christians lived secretly in order to survive and keep their faith. Proceed to the Valley of The Birds, the Uchisar Castle and the Goreme Valley. Visit Avanos Village, followed by the famous local pottery and carpet shows. There will be ample time to indulge in some shopping. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 7 – Cappadocia – Ankara – Bolu (B L D): Drive to Ankara for a guided tour of the modern capital of Turkey, including the Atarturk Mausoleum (1881-1938), the resting place of the founding father of the Turkish Republic. Proceed through forested mountain countryside to the ancient market town of Bolu for dinner and  overnight.

Day 8 – Bolu – Istanbul (B L D): Drive to Istanbul for a shopping spree at the Grand Bazaar with its labyrinth of street passages that house more than 4000 shops. Enjoy an Ottoman-themed farewell dinner with belly dance and folk dance performances accompanied by traditional musicians. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 9 – Istanbul – Kuala Lumpur (B L): Free at leisure in this most fascinating of cities until departure for the airport.

Day 10 – Arrival Kuala Lumpur

Day 1 – Depart For Dubai (L D): Arrival in Dubai in the morning and proceed to the Old City of Dubai to visit Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai Museum, and the Spice and Gold Kouk. Enjoy a water taxi ride and visit the Spice Market.

Day 2 – Dubai (B L D): Tour the modern city of Dubai which includes viewing Burj al -Arab – the flagship of luxuries, Jumeirah Beach and the Palm Jumeirah. It is hard to believe that only 50 years ago, the city was no more than a fort surrounded by a modest village of date palm huts! Abu Dhabi is the abode of the ruling family and the center of oil operations. Visit the fort of Al Husa – the original home of the rulers; pass by the magnificent Corniche, the Old Harbor and Sheikh Zayed Palace. Finally, visit the Dhow yard, where traditional boats are built using a method that is centuries old.

Day 4 – Dubai (B D): Free at leisure. Shop at the local souk for a variety of goods such as gold, spices, and silks, or explore modern (and duty free) shopping malls for brand-name products. Optional tour of Ski Dubai, the first and ultimate indoor ski resort in the Middle East.

Day 5 – Dubai – Kuala Lumpur (B): After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight home.
